Fastest Time To Open A Can Of Campbell's Alphabet Soup And Spell "PANTYHOSE"

In homage to his love of food, Colin Nissan sets a new universal record by opening a can of Campbell’s Alphabet Soup and spelling out ‘PANTYHOSE’ in one minute, 25.77 seconds. Nissan set the record on January 7, 2009 at a World Record Appreciation Society event in New York City. He opened a standard size (10.5 ounces) pop top lid can, strained the letters, and then spelled out ‘PANTYHOSE’ using letters from the soup. Emily Wilson[] sharpened five completely unsharpened pencils in one minute, a new world record. To confirm that the pencils were sufficiently sharp, Wilson successfully popped balloons with each one when the minute was complete. The feat was achieved on November 24, 2008 at the World Record Appreciation Society’s first-ever event. It took place at Asia Roma[], a karaoke bar in New York City. Event organizers Corey Henderson and Dan Rollman were on hand to witness and document the achievement.

Brendan Larrabee of Brookline, Massachusetts boldly sets a record by solving a Rubik’s Cube while sleeping a yo-yo in just three minutes, 36.68 seconds. Timing began when Larrabee began sleeping the yo-yo, and finished when he brought it back up to his hand after solving the Cube. The record was set on August 8, 2008 at the International Yo-Yo Open in New York City. Larrabee used a YoYoFactory eight8eight yo-yo and a mini 3x3x3 Rubik’s Cube. Witnesses were Talia Ledner and Dan Rollman. #YOYO01
